I found this in a box with some Box Elder and not sure what it is other than it is really punky and spalted.
The wood literally broke off in chunks and I CA'd them back together and turned it down for a reel seat.
There is some ambrosia and small areas of Red in the wood which makes me wonder if it is Box Elder.
This pic shows the original piece and you can see the red in the upper right hand corner.
