I am looking for a kit that has a decent ammount of material on the tube after it is turned, because I am looking to cast a blank with flies in it and I don't want to ruin the flies

I guess it all depends on the style pen your looking for. I believe the Aero/Elegant Beauties leave the most on the one piece pens. Their tubes are a bit smaller in diameter and shorter than the sierras so it wont leave you with a lot of working space. Theres also the vista sierra but I dont think they're very fancy looking. In the two part pens I think the Pananche has the most left. Its a huge heavy desk top pen. I would think a sierra size kit of any type would be ok. The feathers are going to be flat so all you really need to worry about is the size of the hook. Good luck, John

If its a cigar, I would go top barrel. Its left the thickest and not covered by fingers when being used. ( Just my opinion )
