Jr. Gent Question??

Anyone ever try to pop out what appears to be an insert on the top of the cap finial of the Jr. Gent?? I was looking at my first kit today, hurriedly and it appears there is an insert(black) that might be removed. If so, it would be a nice place to stick a little chunk of wood matching the blank or maybe some crushed coral??

I think that it was Rick K. at Yahoo that did something like that but can't remember for sure who but I do know that it has been done. After you are over fifty you automaticly belong to the CRS club.
