Here's one I did last month in kwila, an Aussie wood used primarily in flooring. Overall the pen is large, heavy and I don't see the connection to the Jr. Gent roller ball or fountain pen. The nib holder is huge. I'm not really sold on this particular style, but I'll probably do a few more to see if I can come up with a design I like.

The roller ball and fountain pen require a cap. The ball point and the pencil don't. As wayne said, the similarity is the centerband, the clip and the finial.

BTW - the pencil looks just like the ballpoint.

I have made a few and like them. There are a lot of people out there that love to show off and this is a pen to do it with, right along with the full size gent or statesman. Some of those excecutives (Bankers, Lawyers, etc.)just love those big fancy pens [;)]

I've made some - here's a photo of a set http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/rkleinhenz/detail?.dir=c6ab&.dnm=e76f.jpg&.src=ph No surprises - make sure you don't mix up tubes between FP/RB, BP and PCL, or bushings - they are slightly different
