I have aproblem with a Jr Gent rollerball. The cap won't post when it is removed. It posts fine when I close the pen. It looks like the plastic insert is too far in. When I pressed the center band on it pushed the insert too far in. What did I do wrong?

Not much you can do unless someone here has successfully popped it out I have destroyed each one I have tried.

When you press the center band in make sure the nib is not in it.
