Jet Mini Lathe - register stop help?

I have a Jet mini-lathe which has no provisions to lock the head stock. I'm working on some segmentation and need to position the blank at a fixed location every 45 degrees to add some detail. Any ideas how to make, install or rig up a locking stop mechanism to accomplish this?

The one on Ebay looks like it will fit your lathe. It comes with a short arm that is fixed to the headstock and a little pin will register with the holes in the faceplate.

Penn State carries an indexing tool that will fit your lathe.

I have the one Lenny linked to but got mine from the manufaturer. It works great and will take care of any pen needs for segmenting.
