Last month I ran into a problem using a 7mm drill for slimline blanks, where the hole was not big enough to reverse paint the blank. I discussed that here:

I picked up a couple J drill bits and used them and they were perfect. Enough room for paint and glue but not a sloppy hole and plenty of blank left after turning.
