I've been using JBWeld's Qwik Weld. I ran out of regular epoxy and had some of this stuff for the car so thought I'd give it a try.
1: It's thicker and stickier than regular 5 minute epoxy.
2: It's black.
3: It cures much faster (really does cure in 5 minutes).
4: It expands slightly when curing providing a nice gap-filling bonus.
Not a good idea on slims with light woods or burls since it can show through the really thin wood. But I've used it for a bunch of pens now and really like it. I think I'll keep both on hand from here on.
