I have some pen kits from PSI...and on the twist pens, I am having trouble getting the ink cartridge to come out further than it does. Right now it only comes out about...maybe a 32nd of an inch if that. I did everything it said to do...but it still will not come out very far. What am I doing wrong?:confused:

Sometimes the hole in the nose cone is a little too small. See if the refill will go through with the part off. If not, for parker refills, chase the hole with a #39 bit. For cross, #48 bit should work.

The ink cartridge fits through the hole in the nib. I guess what I need to do is dismantle the pen and take some of the cylinder down. Oh fun.

One is a Longwood pen kit from PSI and the other one is Ameroclassic pen kit from HUT...it has the filigree that goes on the upper barrel.
