I am loooking for some ideas on Indian Hardwoods that are reasonably attainable.

I am aware of Teak and East Indian Rosewood which I have or can get easily, but is there anything else that looks nice, and would not be a major chore to find?

Asian native woods in general - you will have to do some googling to determine which are native to India .
Ailanthus , Amboyna , Apple , Apricot , Chinaberry , Coconut palm , Asian , Macassar and Mun ebonies , Lychee , Lilac , Mango , Narra , Paulownia , Peach , Pistachio

Excelent suggestion on Sandalwood, and I believe that Chinaberry is native to India as well. I shall check on availability of both.
