Please don't laugh at this question as it might sound silly to the more professional turners out there.

I've been turning pens since Oct 07 but never have turned anything closed end. Can you please let me know the basics of what I need to do this and where I can purchase the items I need. I heard I would need a special chuck and collet but I have no idea what this is and where to get it. Above is a Lemon / Lime Oxford from Woodcraft

Bill-
Lots of topics on closed ends recently. use the SEARCH button (top of screen) and put in closed end pen and you will have a wealth of info on the subject.
Good Luck and Welcome!

rccrazybill,
One can easily make their own pin chuck or use a wooden jam chuck to turn closed end pens. Do some searches and read them. One can throw money at them, and get a solution for one size pen.
But if you make your own pin chuck or even a wooden jam chuck, you are not limited by any pen type.
