and ordered one in the group buy to see what the components looked like.

I'm not too impressed overall. The nib end is slightly shorter than the ballpoint nib. Refilling is done by removing the plunger (which will likely get lost by some, and I think its plastic but would have to go back to the shop to confirm). The mechanism itself works okay, but I'd be concerned with longevity like the other kit pencils.

While I was down there I took the opportunity to try swapping a Schmidt 5mm pencil mechanism into a long click pen and guess what. It worked with no nearly modifications at all. All I had to do was use a razor blade to remove the little lip at the very top of the black body so the mechanism slips into the tube.

I know I will be loosing the eraser by doing it my way, but I will be offering some long click pencils based on the pen version.

I also looked at the Aero/EB and you do have to adjust the length of the stopper to get it to work.
