How to refill slimline pencils? Help please

Hi guys. I just finished turning my first slimline pencil for someone as a gift. I will be giving it to them this weekend along with a slimline pen as a set. I want to be able to tell them how to go about refilling the mechanical pencil with new lead when the lead it comes with runs out. I know how to replace the refill on the pen.

Anyone out there that could help explain? Much appreciated!

Take off the eraser, replace lead with lead of same diameter, put eraser back on.

From the top. Pull out the cap, pull out the eraser.

If the cap is too tight you may find that the whole mechanism can come out! I sometimes file down the end a bit so the cap slides on and off easily.
