How long should I let...

Antler dry? I got my first deer last year (many may remember the stink I caused by posting my photos) and would like to make a pen from the antler.
As I said, the antler has been drying outside for about a year. Is this long enough?

More than enough.
In the event it seems"damp" when you drill it(at this point it may be ambient humidity moisture)coat the inside with thin CA and then bore out the hole.I wait a couple of minutes hit it with accelerant and then bore it.

I would also ad that you want to let them warm up to room temp before drilling.

I wouldn't let them stay outside for long. Things like to eat the antler. Make sure you put it where nothing can get to it.
