I'm not sure if this is the right spot for this question but here goes.

I have some red mallee burl from woodturningz.
some of it will stay flatl i need to remove the wax sealer without harming the wood. how do i do this?

i am going to make a desk clock out of the edge piece and want the backside where the bark is left alone.

help?

Depends on the wax used, I would microwave it and wipe the wax while still warm.

There is a thread about something similar a week ago or so.
