Help identifying wood.

I hope this is in the correct forum. If not please move it and I will know for future reference.

I picked up an assortment of blanks and was able to identify most of them. The ones I could identify I had a buddy of mine who is a luthier identify the rest. There was one wood neither of us could identify.

It has a very tight grain, Is dense and a cream color.

I would guess american sycamore or beech.
