Help !! with casing pens

I would like to make some casing pens,cartridge pen liek the ones James Mann does with the whole casing. can anyone help with some instructions.javascript:insertsmilie('')

Here's the short version.

Drill out the rear of the casing.
Turn a wooden core on a 7mm tube to fit inside.

That's the short version. The long version is spread across about 300 posts here on the forum. Just do a search for the words "casing" or "bullet", you'll come up with lots of reading material.

David, make sure it doesn't have a Live Primer...

Used Primers are "punched" by the primer pin. The used primer must be removed. Thin punch or nail from inside cartridge, tap it out.

Darn [] You just took all the fun out of pop1948 learning.[]
chances are if the shell has a live primer then the bullet is still attached to the other end. check with your local gun club about getting some used/fired(empty) shell cases. they should be able to point you in the right direction.

if not send me a pm and i may be able to scare up some shell cases for you.
