has anyone ever turned these rollerballs from craft supplies, the photo is from there website, was interested in this pen

Yes, I have. The bad thing about this kit is that you have to file a small notch in the upper barrel for the clip to sit into. Other than that, I like the kit. They are snap-caps so adjusting the cap takes a little finesse, but you'll get the hang of it.

Unfortunately, CS has raised the price of these kits into the same range as other pens that are easier to assemble, making these less attractive to make considering the effort to produce (in my opinion).

I've made them and I don't think I will make them anymore. Very hard to get the cap just right so it is not loose. There are much better rollerball's at CSUSA to buy.

A dremel tool with grinding wheel installed makes short work of the notch.

A #3 phillips screwdriver also serves as an easy nib-cap adjusting tool. Just slide it in and turn. A few tries and it's all set.

That said, I also don't use this kit much anymore because the Baron/JrGent is a much nicer pen for a small price difference.
