Does anyone know of any good places in the Seattle/Everett area to get pen supplies? I am out here in a business trip and I am always looking for some new places to find pen supplies, so I thought I would ask my buddies of the IAP if they know any places...

The chains -- Woodcraft and Rockler are there. Grizzley tools are north in Bellingham.

Woodcraft sometimes has local woods in the bin out front for a nice price if you like to dig through piles for treasures.

Cross Cut hardwoods is down along the railroad yards and sometimes has some nice exotic boards. Cocobolo and Zircote come to mind, but they are not giving it away.

I understand that John Jordan will be in Antecortes WA to teach classes and do Demo later this week and over the weekend. That would be well worth taking in as he is a masters master turner. (but he does not do pens).

John, Check out Martin Lumber 2730 Broadway. The exotic stuff is in the big building behind the store. It is worth wandering through.

It would be a heck of a drive from Everett, but there is Sumner Woodworking:

'My' Rockler is about 10 miles south of Downtown (and two blocks from my office):

Both are pretty good. Sumner has a lot of the more exotic blanks, like horn, TrueStone, Faux Ivory....etc etc. Rockler has a good selection of wood/stabilized blanks.

Here are all the local Rockler locals:

The limber yard in Everett doesn't have a lot of wood. Rockler on Stone way has a good selection of wood and when I was there on Saturday Cocobolo was on sale for $20 per board foot. I also like to go to Compton lumber which is a little south of the Seattle Hone Depot, All you will see off the main road is the sign you need to turn down the drive to see the building.
