I use a thick fabric paint from Michaels. They come with a really tiny applicator tip, made for writing or making patterns on t-shirts. It's acrylic, so water wipe if you get any paint on the surface. Other use Rub-n-buff if metallic colors would work. It's a pigmented wax with maybe some solvent in it.

Laser engraving

My hand writing is terrible, so I laser engrave all my work .

I burn it in deep and make sure I DONT WIPE OFF the black burnt ash.

I have never done this on acrylic ( I try not to ever use the stuff )....

On wood or bone even leather it works great, I put a clear coat over the top of the engraving until everything is smooth or flush.

Because I don't work with plastics allot and its all bone and wood I am very careful if I was to use any kind of filler a make sure it will NOT BLEED INTO THE WOOD OR BONE.
