After what seems like for ever fighting a out of round problem, using one of CS new acrylic blanks, I turned a cigar with out using calipers and all the parts fit great. You guessed it I mounted the blanks wrong. Do I salvage the kit or trim the ink filler and use it the way it is?

It shouldn't be that hard to disassemble a cigar. Take it apart and put it together the correct way. Shouldn't be too hard to find a drill bit or something to use as a disassembler tool. Just a thought.

I'd take it apart and redo it. Get you a transfer punch set from Harbor Freight and gently use a punch to take it apart. Should be very little problem. If you should happen to scratch it a little just put it back on the lathe and re-finish it. I've done the same thing...makes you that much more careful in the future. Good luck!!
