Has anyone tried making this barrel parallel all the way to the finish size of a sierra kit?
I tried and lost the dividing lines of the white keys. I thought the dividing lines run all the way to the bottom of the barrel. Expensive attempt without monitoring the progress as turning. Lesson learnt and the second turned OK with a large bulge on the barrel.

I made it with a virage from Bear Tooth Woods and had no trouble. That's another option maybe.

If you want a sierra kit why not use a Sierra Vista?? One of the most generous when it comes to material left on the kit.
