Hi,

Does anyone know where i can get a good quality gold plate Jr. Gent?
That 10K stuff just rubs off in a month or so.

Thanks,
Elliott

Done some reading, now I can refine my question:

Is there a place to buy a Gold TI platted Jr. Gent?

Thanks,
Elliott

Your question has been answered. This is my favorite pen. Not my biggest in quantity made but the pen I like the most for quality, looks and usability.
Your comment about 10K wearing off so quickly is interesting. While not as durable as Tn, it should last a reasonable amount of time, perhaps years.

Elliot if you have a pen that has very quickly lost its plating I would send the pen back to CSUSA, although it is 10k gold it should last longer than that![:0]

The pen was actually a Barron, but I assumed it would be same. Judging from what people have said perhaps not.

Anyone else notice this with the Barron, or is my pen just a one off?

Thanks,
Elliott

Either way, the 10K on Gents Jr or the "Upgrade Gold" on Barons will not last forever. I have made my first Gents Jr when they came out in 10k, and I gave a few away as a Thank you to good customers. They start loosing their gold color as short as four weeks in one case. Since then, I never made anything in gold platings only Titanium Gold.

They are not the same. The best way to solve Baron problems is to switch to Jr. Gent and buy from CS.

You are correct it is 24K. Either way it is starting to fade after only 4 weeks.

maybe the 10K is harder?
