glue up problem

Tried to laminate red heart african black wood with white plastic between each ply, ca glue would not bond to plastic [cap off medicine bottle] ended up using maple instead. was it me or a common problem. thanks in advance for any advice............Perry

The cap of a medicine bottle is probably made of polyethylene. Adhesives will not bond with it. If you rough it up a lot and use a flexible adhesive, you might be able to get a weak bond. But it still won't hold very well.

BTW, soda bottle caps won't work either.
