I like the medium--it has a bit of gap-filling ability, and dries fairly quickly, making it relatively easy to use. I wouldn't recommend activator, because 1) you don't need it, the glue will dry in less than a minute, and 2) it tends to slightly weaken the glued joint.

I have just switched to the thick because it gives me a few more precious seconds to get the tube set properly in the blank. I don't use activator when I glue in the tubes.

Like FreddieP, I prefer thick. It gives a little longer working time. You don't need accelerator for this as it will set quick enough by itself.

after seeing a couple of tubes protruding from blanks, I'm back to thick for tubing! no problems, just have to wait a minute...

Isn't it amazing that we need to speed up INSTANT glue!!!![:D]
