I posted this on another forum today but I thought someone might know here as well. Thanks for any help....

I saw an ad on Craigslist this morning for exotic pallet wood. The guy was selling 3 - 4 ft long peices that were 3" - 6" in width and about 3/4" to 1 1/2" in thickness. He said there was a mixture of Mahogany, Lignum Vitae, Brazillian Cherry, Rosewood, Lacewood, Ironwood, Monkey Pod (not sure what that is) and some others. It was only $1 to $2 per board. All of this wood was from pallets from South America made long ago before they started to preserve their trees and exotic woods.

He could not identify it for me and I have tried all afternoon to really nail down what all of it is. I could really use some help from you more experience turners. Some of this is really nicely figured and will make some great pens. For $20 it will be enough wood to keep me busy for quite some time.
