I am new to pen turning but want to make a few for the Freedom Pen project. Does anyone know where to send the completed pens, so that they get to the troops?

The Freedom Pens project is being headed up over on sawmillcreek.org and the address for sending in freedom pens is(unless it has changed):

Freedom Pens Project
c/o Northwind Associates
8770 Little England Road
Hayes, VA 23072

You can probably find all the info you want and need over there. Good luck...it is a fun and worthy project. It is refreshing to open a letter form a service man or woman who has received one that I turned.
Do a good turn daily!

Fred,

You may want to look into contacting your nearest Reserve or National Guard base. I had an inside contact as my Navy Reservist wife is in Kuwait, her year is almost up, thank the Lord. I sent my pens to her to distribute, and they were a big hit. Obviously, either way is great, I just wanted mine to go to people my wife knew.
