fountain refill

hey all. i made a fountain pen for my moms for mothers day and when she received it, the ink was all over the place... i guess i pressed the cartridge down too hard or something when i put it together.

anywho, does anyone know if any fountain refill will work with the "classic" fountain pen? one she could just go get at office max or something?

thanks for the link. but that one addressed the el grande, do you know if that's the same refill as the one used for a "classic" fountain?

All the FP kits we buy, except the El Toro, will use the same cartridge or converter. My advise is get her a converter and then she can use bottled ink, Private Reserve is what most of us recommend. Bottled ink is much cheaper in the long run than cartridges.
