Came across a paper bag with some blanks I forgot I had. It was a nice surprise. All crotch figure from a Maple that wasn't big enough to make bowls out of. Not sure what kits I will use them on. Short blanks are about 3" and the long are 5-5 1/2". The "finished" blank has amazing figure all the way around. Might stick a couple in colored Cactus Juice to see what turns up.

What a surprise

A tremendous surprise - really nice.
If you decide that you do not want all of them; I can help dispose of the unwanted ones.

I just love when I discover something that I had forgotten about.
I am like a kid coming out of a Candy Store I can't rip the bag open fast enough.
Then my eye's light up as I recall where and when I got it.
Fortunately or unfortunately, I am experiencing that delight more often, with the passage of too many birthdays.
But it is still a buzz.
On the down side is when SWMBO, puts a Damper on my Joy, by telling me she has been at me for years to tidy up my Work Shop and then I would know where every thing was.
Fortunately about then, my short term memory loss kicks in and I forget what ever it was that she was saying to me.
I share your delight with those Glorious Maple Crotch Blanks. Magnificent,
I look forward to seeing some on a Pen.
Provided I can remember anything about them.
Congratulations,
Brian.

They look solid, why 'juice' them?

Bet you ran around the house after that and looked for more paper bags?!?!?!
