I've visited the store a few times and always come away with some nice wood. The owner and his wife are very pleasant and willing to take the time to explain things about their wood. The owner is also a turner. It's like anyone who has nice products and is in business to make money--their prices are fair but not cheap.
Their shop is a couple of hours away from my home but my son attends a local college, so it gives me a reason to stop by when I'm visiting my son. I think you can buy there with confidence.
