I just recently made one of these and have four more to go. One of the kits I got from HUT and the others from BB, so they are all Berea kits. If you plan to make any of these be aware that the instructions HUT supplies are an enormous error in them. It says to "part off 1mm, a shy 1/8"" from the lower end of the top barrel. Considering that 1/8" is nearly 4 times as large as 1mm, if you do that, the upper barrel will be unusable for the kit. The amount that needs to be parted off if about 1.5mm. Now I just need to find a 1mm parting tool and I won't have to spend 5 minutes getting it right with my skew.[:p]

I contacted HUT and they're looking into it. The email response was that it should be about 1mm less than 1/8", which is still too much. The tube would project through the CB and would not allow the lower barrel to mate properly. As for the Berea instructions, I generally find their instructions obtuse at best and didn't even look at them.
