I really like the looks of 8mm FTs and customers seem to like them too but some are much easier to operate than others.

Correct me if I am wrong and lend suggestions.

I know my wife had that issue with the one she did. She just needed to over turn the top section of the bottom barrel and it didn't seem so hard. It was like the wood was rubbing even though she was where she needed to be. Turning it down further though seemed to solve the issue.

I've had a lot of those issues and found for me that its the lower part of the top barrel that is out of round or off center so now I turn the two halves seperatly placing the end with the center band nearest the head stock and the same for the nib end or to be better yet turn between centers and that eliminates that problem alltogether. However the black plating doesn't seem to hold up good on those kits, they scratch too easily. But I like the looks of that pen.
