first phoenix kit

finished my first phoenix pen kit from woodturningz.com today. nice pen. put one of my recent pasta castings on it. seems to me to almost be a cross between cigar and sierra pens with the shape of the blank and assembly method. nice feel to the kit. plenty of meat on the lower end to put objects on the tube for clear casts. im gonna try the fly tying pen next week on one of these.

Pretty interesting. I'm kind of in the air about whether or not I like the phoenix.

Nice work on the pen. Also, not sure if I like the pen, in particular the finger girp area. Guess I need to actually hold one.
