Here is an Apprentice Classica pen with a deep "unknown"yellow wood. It's not Yellow wood though. The branch it's made from is under the pen. I find it all the time at work. It almost looks like a holly bush but the entire inside is dark yellow. The picture doesn't show the true darkness of the color yellow. It has about 10 coats of CA on it.

It looks like "Poison Oak"! Look out! That looks pretty cool. I have never made a pen from wood that I have found. Great idea. Was it dried? Maybe with 10 coats of CA it might not matter. :biggrin:
