Feather blanks are easy to turn and polish. Just be careful when pressing the components in the tube, keep them straight going in, otherwise you could crack the blank. DAMHIKT

There is more than one person making feather blanks.

The "recipe" could be very different from one maker to the next. So any statements about "turnability" would depend on WHO made the blank.

John's blanks are easy to turn. I've turned a few of his and they turn out great.

I've turned a total of two of his blanks. I was nervous of the first one, but they were both fairly easy, though I sweated the whole time I was turning them. The first went to my wife as a Valentines present.
