Fail of the week

Tried to make an abstract Clarinet for my Brother. Fail::
I think the idea was good but in real it just doesn`t fit.
The wood is Grenadil and the kit is baseball bat.

Not really a failure - just one way not to make it. It looks turned very nicely.

I like it! Flip in around and it looks a bit like a golf tee.

Doesn't look all that bad to me. A little closer to the Recorder's we had in elementary school though. A line of drilled holes with some white Corian or plastic plugs would make it look more like an instrument if you're thinking of trying another.

In fact I also wanted to ask what's wrong with this pen. Next I realised that mouthpiece is missing, again white corian would be fine. Otherwise clever idea.
