i was just wondering if i was doing something wrong. when i put together my european pens i am having to push the transmission in way passed the line. is this normal??

Yes, because the lower barrel is longer than on a slimline so the transmission must be pressed in further. I don't pay attention to the line...press and test...press and test...press and test.

i had to ask because even though that seemed like the obvious answer the thought of having the pen top as the bottom did cross my mind. thanks for the confirmation.
