Is there any way to salvage material glued to a tube with 5-minute epoxy?

I figure it's a lost cause and something to just chalk up lack of attention to detail, but I thought I'd ask in case there was some knowledge out there I was unaware of.

I was prepping some Texas flag laser inlay kit blanks and noticed that on one of them I have the blue ring with the star wrong so that the star is upside down. I stopped before gluing the rest of the pieces to the tube, and was curious if there's a possible solution for "UN-epoxying" something?

I had acetone destroy my pen blank before too... it was an acrylic and it looked like it was starting to dissolve it.

It got me to thinking about ol' organic chem lab. That acetone sure dissolved a lot o' stuff ;)

My thought is that I'll start with heat and see how far that gets me. Then if needed, I'll add acetone in increasing amounts. By the time I get to that point I'm looking at it being a lost blank otherwise anyway.

Thanks for all the help everyone!
