Engraving Trustone

I have been asked to make a high-end pen as a gift for a business executive (male). I love the look of Truestone and have turned a number of Truestone blanks with no problems. That being said, this pen will be engraved and I am concerned that the engraving will be lost in the patterns on the blank. I was thinking of using the black with gold web but I'm open to suggestions; actually on any blanks that will create a really snazzy looking pen.

Jim,
You might check with Ken Nelson. Ken is a good guy and should have some info for you. Also, you can do color fill on the engraving which could help with contrast. I have included Kens site below for reference.

I've been told by Constant that the tru-stone engraves very well. I haven't tried it myself yet though. You might check with him as well.
