I was wondering if anyone has an example of a pen that they sent out to be engraved and where they sent it to. I have a customer who wants an acrylic pen engraved but I want to see how it looks before I go ahead and tell him yes I can. Thanks!

An acrylic pen will need to be filled. The laser does a great job, but you end up with a 'frosted' look that is hard to see. Use a filler and it looks great. (I use gold leaf Rub-n-Buf, or something from Hobby Lobby).

Click the link to my "photos". The "Its a Girl" pen is pink corian I sent to Tony at Pen Works for engraving and filling.

I have also sent an acrylic pen to Ken at (Kalleshann sp?) for engraving and filling.

Both live up to their good reputations.

I like the look of those "Its a Girl" pens. After they are "filled" do you need to do any special finish on them or is the filling permanent in itself?

Heres a couple I just had done at KallenshaanWoods. The first is a wedding set and the second is an organization logo. He did the boxes as well.
