Engraving a a bolt action?

I have an order for a bolt action and they would like it engraved. I believe I can get it engraved locally, but if not I will contact someone from here. My question, where have you engraved a bolt action? Do you stick to the barrel or engrave the "bullet" (top or bottom).

I posted about engraving on a magnetic vertex cap, and the consensus was that engraving plated parts wasn't the best idea. I'd stick to engraving the body.

Steve, I had one engraved a local trophy shop, and the had to engrave the barrell. The pen was already assembled, they said they might have been able to engrave it before assembly. Engraving the barrell gives you more room. I will check and see if I have a picture.
