Engraving Alabaster???

Can Alabaster be laser engraved??? I am planning to make a wedding guest book pen for my cousin and had planned to use Holly on a sterling silver Baron. But I was given a piece of Alabaster and thought it would make the perfect pen. The catch is I promised to have it engraved.
Has any one had this done? I plan to send it off to Kallenshaan for the engraving.

Well now that's just too easy. I plan to but I thought I would gather other opinions also. Possibly even some examples of what has been done with it.

Hi Dave,
I remember engraving some a long time ago and it came out looking really nice. Can't remember if I colorfilled it or not. Probably did.

Thanks Ken, you saved me a difficult e-mail. It would have taken me forever to type out[]. I would like to see it color filled, can you do a silver color??
