El-Grande Streamline question

I remember that there was someone that had a better way to turn these kits. Anyone have an idea where that was? I searched, but could not find it here. I just got in some kits from Tuba707 and want to wrap one in a nice blank of Rappahanncok oak I have stashed away for myself..

Oh yea, and does any one have the exact measurements of the bushings so I can make a set on my metal lathe??
