I've made two Eclipse pen kits so far and had the same issue with both of them. The inside of the brass tube jams up with the 'alignment' stem on the tip assembly. I've worked the diameter of both the ID of the brass tube and the OD of the stem 'alignment' piece with increasing grits of sand paper up to 2000grit to no avail. I believe it more an alignment issue between the back end of the tip and the insertion point of the mechanism to the finial.
Has anyone else made any of these pens and encountered this issue? If so, what have you done to resolve the obvious interference fit of the two pieces?
This kit makes such a nice looking pen but this issue drives me nuts.
