I received a mag from Penn State in the mail,, inside is 2 pages showing nice looking, color dyed wood blanks. Anyone ever try these? Id be interested, as opposed to acrylic!

They're very nice. Give them a try. The dye goes straight through to the core of the blank.

I just finished 2 sets. One blue, one green. Most Dyed blanks could use some Transtint dye of the same color to REALLY make them POP! I had problems with the dye bleeding thru the CA finish, but a suggestion to coat with shellac 1st worked wonders!

I've used the dyed PSI wooden blanks and as has been said they are very nice and have turned out for me as well.
