Fellow pen / pencil turners,

I'm wanting to make a pencil for one of my sons. He's a development chef who is constantly, making notes, changes and revisions. He tells me he can really give a pen a good workout and that he is generally unhappy with commercial pencils.

He tells me he wants a really durable mechanism and 0.7mm lead size.

Personally I'd love to see the CSUSA Long Clicker with a heavy duty pencil mechanism.

Any and all suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Please include a link or reference to where your favorite heavy duty pencil mechanism / kit can be found.

Thank you,

Charlie

You can try to convert a Pentel 7mm for your use. Pentel has a very good mechanism.
I have done several over the last few years. Takes a little practice to drill that long blank.
