Drilling Dymondwood

I have to drill 140 dymondwood blanks with 7mm bit(80 designer and 60 slimline). I was hoping to get some drilling advice. In past I have stopped drill bit and wrapped it with wet cloth to cool bit. This doesn't seem possible with this quantity. I heard you can use water in the hole while drilling dymondwood. Has anyone done this? Any advice would be appreciated.

Yes, I have drilled Dymondwood with water. It works fine. The Dymondwood absorbs very little if any of the water. You can expect to get kind of a slurry or paste out of the hole. You may want to put something below your drill table (or over the ways, if drilling on the lathe) to catch the slurry and the excess water. Don't be stingy with the water.

What Tony said. I do the the same thing. I drill on a DP and use a squirt bottle filled with water, drill about 1/4", back the bit out, fill the hole with water and repeat.
