Hi. I bought a triton rollerball kit. I purchased the bit and bushings from woodcraft.....
Alas, I get it home to find that I don't have the 10.5 drill bit for the lower barrel. May i use a 11, or will the brass tube be too loose.
I was reading something about a 27/64 bit instead of the 11....

Any help appreciated.

I think the 11mm is going to be to big. 10.5mm is .4134 and 27/64 is .4219 so this may work but use epoxy. Try a hole in a piece of scrap and see how the tube fits (no glue).
I just remembered that I had a blank drilled at 27/64 that I hadn't glued a tube in yet so I tried a 10.5mm tube in it. It is a tad bit sloppy but I do think it would work if you used either epoxy or Gorilla glue.

Hi,

A lot depends on how accurate your drill press is. If it is straight and true you might use a 27/64 which is a little oversize. If you have some slop in the drill press, try a
"Z" letter drill which is three ten thousandths under. It is extremely hard to drill a absolutely true hole, that's why we have reamers. If it were me, I'd try the Z drill.
