Hey guys, does anyone know if you can use a 27/64 drill bit instead of a 10.5mm on a junior gent lower barrel? I forgot to order some drill bits and now I'm stuck. Thanks in advance.

I'd have to go out and check to make sure, but I believe that is what I use. I use all standard and never have had a problem. Just me though.

Its only slightly larger, and although I use a 10.5mm... 27/64 is just over 10.7 mm and should be ok. If you want to be sure, drill a scrap wood piece and see how much slop you see and if you're comfortable with that.

Sounds right to me, but has anyone done it? I know material gets a little thin on the edges. Just don't want to have a mishap. Now that I think about, it would be best for painted tubes and reverse painting for acrylics. Kool!!

Respectfully,

Dave
