I've seen lots of polls about best sales for Pen Type, Wood or Other.

My questions are:

1) How many do Dymondwood and how well do they sell.

2) What about single color dyes on Box Alder ..etc.

Are either of these very popular?

Funny you ask. I have a stunning green dymondwood Atlas (or some kit like that) in Black Ti that has been sitting for MONTHS! I love the pen and if my wife wouldn't kill me I would be tempted to keep it for myself. I can not believe it's still there.

Dyed box elder burl almost always sells as soon as I show them. I have some Dymondwood, but have not made anything with it yet.

Dyed box elder sells well and remember that as its stabilised it also takes and holds a good finish. Double dyed is even better. Dyed quilted poplar also sells well. My impression is that the ladies go for the dyed pens more than the men. Give them a go and see for yourself.

I've sold a few diamondwood. I was hoping they would sell faster, but that hasn't been the case. Most of my customers want real wood. Now if you can get colors of the local college or pro team, you might have some luck with that. I've sold some yellow/black ones to Iowa fans.

Dymondwood sells well for me, especially the angle cut.
